This policy explains which cookies are used on the SYC Demir Döküm corporate website, under what conditions, and how you can manage your preferences.
1. What is a cookie?
A cookie is a small text file saved in your browser when you visit a website. Our site uses cookies only for the purposes described below.
2. Cookies used on our site
Two types of cookies may be used on our site. No cookie is needed to browse the pages; cookies are created only under the conditions below.
- Session cookie (essential, technical): Used only in the contact and quote forms. It ensures that the form works securely, that error messages are shown correctly and that submission is verified. No session cookie is created on pages other than forms. It is not used for marketing or advertising.
- Google Analytics 4 cookies (analytics, optional): _ga and _ga_<measurement ID>. They are loaded only if you choose “Accept” in the cookie banner. Google states the default validity period of these cookies as 2 years.
3. Essential technical cookies
The session cookie is necessary for the site to work while you fill in the form; for this reason, no preference is asked in the cookie banner. If you block the cookie in your browser settings, the contact and quote forms may not work.
4. Analytics cookies (Google Analytics 4)
Analytics cookies are used to measure how the site is used. With this tool, statistical data on page views, visit and session information, device and browser type, traffic sources and interactions on the site can be analysed.
No analytics cookie runs until you make a choice. If you choose “Reject”, analytics is not loaded; if you have accepted before, the Google Analytics cookies are deleted. Google signals and ad personalisation features are configured as switched off on our site.
5. Advertising and remarketing cookies
No cookies are used on our site for advertising, remarketing or behavioural targeting.
6. Third-party services
Google Analytics is provided by Google; Google’s own privacy and data processing terms also apply. The map link on the contact page directs you to Google Maps; no map embedded in our page is loaded unless you click the link. The corporate film on the home page (YouTube) is not loaded unless you click the play button; once you click, the video is shown via YouTube’s privacy-enhanced domain youtube-nocookie.com and a connection to YouTube is made. The online shop (sycstore.com.tr) is a separate site and its own policies apply.
7. Managing your cookie preferences
The cookie banner appears on your first visit; the “Reject” and “Accept” options have equal visibility. Your choice is stored in your browser’s local storage (this is not a cookie) and you are asked again after 12 months. You can change your choice at any time with the “Cookie preferences” link at the bottom of the page.
You can also control, block or delete cookies in your browser settings.
8. Policy changes
This policy may be updated if there are changes in the services used or in legislation. The current version is published on this page.
