02 — Departments

Departments in the facility

The path of a part through the facility starts with pattern and mould work and continues with the casting, machining, coating and inspection stages. The details of each department are on its service page.

  • Patterns and moulds stored on shelves in the pattern shop
    01

    Pattern shop

The pattern shop carries out pattern and mould work within the company, with 3D modelling programs such as Solidworks. This work comes before the simulation, core shop and foundry stages.

The parts produced are simulated with Magmasoft, aiming at casting efficiency.

    Core shop

The core shop has an automatic sand preparation system and produces cold-box and hot-box cores.

    Foundry

In the foundry, melting is carried out in 2 dual-track Eges induction furnaces of 2.5 t each and 2 power-track Inductotherm induction furnaces of 1.5 t each. Disamatic vertical moulding, horizontal flask moulding and centrifugal casting technologies are available for moulding. Parts processed with grinding and continuous fettling machines are made ready for dispatch.
